Genesis Unveils New Deal to Help Channel Cloud Computing

Mobile and SaaS specialist Genesis Communications has launched the most affordable hosted packages on the market, designed to help its reseller partners sell SaaS to small and growing businesses.

The packages are set to redefine the reseller market for cloud computing by providing common-sense IT solutions for SMEs’ everyday business issues at the most competitive prices ever seen for hosted services.

Starting from £3 a month, the company’s three market-leading “Core” packages for email, customer relationship management (CRM) and collaboration are all based on hosted Microsoft software, which SMEs can access on a month-by-month basis, with no initial implementation costs and no minimum contract. Users then have access to a set of additional offers and bolt-on services for each package, such as unlimited storage and mobile access.

Genesis’ Exchange Core will offer customers market-leading email services on a flexible monthly contract for £6 per month. Resellers can offer their customers the ability to add and remove users on a month-by-month basis, which enables growing SMEs to support new team members quickly and at minimum cost.

In a market first, the package contains unlimited storage with MS Exchange, removing the need to delete emails to free up space. Genesis is anticipating its hosted email customer base to grow by 80% once the services launch.

Mark Seemann, product strategy and development director at Genesis, commented: “There’s so much chatter about cloud computing, but no one has yet been able to create a compelling package for SMEs that provides the services they need, at the right cost. Resellers are in the perfect position to capitalise on this confusion and provide clear guidance to new and existing SME customers, with packages at the most competitive prices ever offered on the market.

“We’ve built these basic packages on our ‘elastic IT’ model, which allows Genesis resellers to offer small and growing businesses access to the very best IT services from the world’s leading vendors on a pay-as-you-go basis, which can be increased or decreased depending on demand. Resellers can work with their customers to help them understand current requirements but also what they’ll need in the future as the economy recovers.”
