Good Technology has announced it has acquired CloudSync, a Denver, Colorado-based mobile device management company

The acquisition furthers Good’s mission of enabling device choice in the enterprise by providing enhanced device management for the broadest range of devices, including laptops, tablets, ruggedized handhelds, and leading smartphone platforms, all through a simple, secure, cloud-based service offering that does not require enterprises to deploy and manage additional hardware or software.

The acquisition of CloudSync complements Good’s robust Good for Enterprise solution and reinforces Good’s position as the only solution enterprises need to meet all of their mobile security, management, collaboration and application access needs.

Good for Enterprise is comprised of three components: Good Mobile Control for mobile device management; Good Mobile Messaging for secure enterprise messaging and collaboration; Good Mobile Access for secure application access.

“The days of the single device mobile enterprise are over. Businesses of all sizes are under pressure to support a rapidly expanding set of mobile devices, platforms and applications,” said Brian A. Bogosian, chairman, CEO and president of Good Technology. “Good Technology is committed to giving organizations everything they need to let their users securely connect and collaborate on whatever devices they choose. With CloudSync, Good simplifies and enhances mobile device management for companies of all sizes with the additional option for a secure SaaS offering.”

CloudSync enables customers to easily deploy, manage, control, locate and support a wide range of mobile devices anywhere in the world through the convenience of a web-based mobile device management system. CloudSync’s product line includes a device management console, a remote help desk application, powerful web-based access control, and the unique CloudLocate GPS-based location application, which gives IT managers a real time view of all the mobile devices in a fleet including their location. CloudSync supports all Microsoft Windows mobile devices, Windows laptops, and RIM BlackBerry devices, and combined with Good, will extend its support to iPhone, Android, Symbian, and webOS devices in the coming months.
