GOSH Children’s Charity deploy Exponential-e’s super-fast business Internet

Exponential-e, the specialist provider of next-generation networks and services, has deployed its business-grade Internet service for Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity

The high-speed fibre-based service is provided on a dedicated basis to the charity and does not need to be shared with other businesses on the same street unlike DLS-based Internet services intended for residential customer use. The new service, named PowerNGN, is designed specifically for the robust networking requirements of the business community. PowerNGN incorporates the ability to dynamically allocate bandwidth which is not being used for the Internet to other non-Internet based services. This feature makes PowerNGN suitable for supporting multiple other services.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity needs to raise £50 million a year to help rebuild and refurbish Great Ormond Street Hospital, provide vital up-to-date equipment and fund research into better treatments for the children.

Exponential-e’s next-generation business Internet service is the fastest available in the UK due to their use of a unique proprietary routing algorithm called Route 1™. “Route 1” constantly screens multiple Tier 1 Internet transit providers for jitter, latency and packet loss so as to select the optimum routes across the Internet.

Mark Saldanha, Head of IT, Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity comments: “Exponential-e is a highly professional company. Their high-availability services are extremely flexible and specifically designed for business use. I’d recommend the service and the pricing to any organisation after reliable business-class Internet.”
