Griffin Launches Annex M LLU Services

Griffin Internet, the channel ISP of the year launches LLU Annex M products to the channel.

The next in a long line of planned product releases, LLU Annex M services allow Griffin partners to increase their upstream speed by slightly compromising their downstream speeds. Services can be as high as 16Mb downstream and 2.5Mb upstream, depending on the distance from the exchange and type of router used.

Griffin have integrated Tiscali’s portfolio of Annex M LLU services into their MOPS platform allowing partners to package and provision IPstream and LLU services from multiple suppliers under their own brand without the high cost of supplier management, provisioning and customer service staff.

Griffin has been intensively testing their new services to ensure partners can be quick to market with their new packages. Services are delivered over Griffin’s voice-ready MPLS network and Tiscali’s engineered network to ensure business traffic is prioritised end to end. Partners can also prioritise applications such as voice over the network with Griffin’s Engineered Broadband services. The services are available in 1000 exchanges reaching 55% of business users.

Michael Cox, Product Development Manager at Griffin commented: “Now we have ADSL services primarily aimed at convergence in the business market. Low cost upstream bandwidth is a rare commodity and Annex M allows up to 2.5Mb upstream on a basic ADSL router whilst still sharing the phone line with a traditional voice service.”
