Mobile media provider, Handmark, has announced the appointment of Vincent Guinier to vice president and managing director of its EMEA team.
The appointment of Guinier comes as Handmark is aggressively expanding its products and services into the European market, working together with key mobile operators and handset providers.
Using his international business experience and expertise within the wireless space, Guinier will play a key role in expanding the company’s London office and strengthening its position as a leading mobile content provider globally. Guinier and his team will manage sales, business development and marketing, as well as content acquisition and product management in the EMEA market.
Chris Barnett, senior vice president of global sales for Handmark, commented: “I am excited to welcome Vincent into the Handmark family. His vision and passion for Handmark solutions paired with his diverse international experience make him an ideal leader for our European expansion.”
Prior to joining Handmark, Guinier held management positions at UIQ Technology, m-systems, Intel, and Texas Instruments.
Guinier commented: “With smartphone sales and mobile content adoption continuing to grow, this is a fantastic opportunity and I feel fortunate to be part of the team. Handmark is best positioned to not only exploit the tremendous opportunities ahead, but help drive the industry, offering a wide range of mobile applications and storefront solutions that fit the needs of the mobile ecosystem.”
Guinier and his team work out of a new Handmark office located in Covent Garden in Central London.
