Harleys Help the Heroes

ScanSource Communications Europe Business Development Director Jim Robertson recently took part in the ‘Hoggin The Thames’ event which saw more than 100 riders on their Harley Davidson motorbikes crossing every bridge in London down to Hampton Court raising money for the Help for Heroes charity.

Robertson, who rides a Harley Davidson Softail Heritage, commented, “We had a Police escort for the whole trip and were able to block every bridge we crossed so as to grab as much money as possible from tourists and passers-by. It was a fantastic day and we raised £27,000 which is an amazing sum.”

“This money is now being used to make life a bit easier for servicemen and women that have returned from places such as Afghanistan and Iraq and having met some of these guys I can assure you that they are really appreciative of the support shown.”
