Ingram Micro EMEA today announced the appointment of Brent McCarty as Executive Managing Director, United Kingdom & Ireland.

Brent McCarty will assume the position of Executive Managing Director of Ingram Micro United Kingdom & Ireland, a role most recently held by Matt Sanderson who returned to Australia to lead our operations there. Brent will transition into his new role over the next month. Brent will report to Johan Vandenbussche, Regional Vice President, UK, Belgium and Netherlands.

Brent has led the Ingram Micro Consumer Electronics Division (IMCE), formerly known as DBL Distributing, Ingram Micro’s US consumer electronics accessories distribution arm since May 2009, when he transferred to Arizona from our offices in Toronto, Canada where he led VAR sales since 2006. In his new role, McCarty will lead Ingram Micro’s operations in the United Kingdom & Ireland, including the offices in Milton Keynes and Maidenhead, as well as the distribution center in Daventry. He is responsible for further developing and enhancing the company’s market position in the United Kingdom & Ireland, ensuring the highest levels of customer service and support, and leading a 400 employee strong team.

“We are very pleased to be welcoming Brent to Europe to take the helm of our business in the UK & Ireland,” said Alain Maquet, President Ingram Micro EMEA. “Brent is an experienced IT distribution professional with a strong track record of success within Ingram Micro. Under his leadership, our UK & Ireland business will continue on its path of growth. I also would like to take the opportunity to thank Matt for his excellent service, strong leadership and his success in developing the UK business over the past 3 years and wish him well in his new role in Australia.”
