iPass, provider of mobility services for both enterprises and service providers, today announced that it has expanded its partnership with iBAHN, a worldwide leader in Internet solutions for the hospitality and meeting industries, to cover 225 additional European hotel conference centres as part of the iPass Mobile Network.

“The expansion of our successful partnership with iPass is a reflection of the growing demand for bandwidth among conference delegates,” said Graeme Powell, managing director, iBAHN. “iBAHN’s Wi-Fi services allow users 24/7 Internet access with full support in a range of languages, which has long been an essential service for the modern business traveller.

“With 675,000 Wi-Fi hotspots in 117 countries, the iPass Mobile Network provides customers with coverage at crucial business locations such as conference centres and hotels during their business travel,” said Marcio Avillez, vice president of Network Services at iPass. “We’re delighted to expand our partnership with iBAHN with their compelling technology solutions across thousands of events annually, ranging from small group meetings to major industry conferences.”

iPass business travellers can access Wi-Fi at hotel conference centres that include certain Courtyard, Hilton, Holiday Inn, Intercontinental, Marriott, Radisson, Renaissance, Rocco Forte and Westin hotels.

With the iPass Open Mobile platform, a cloud-based services delivery system, enterprises can enable mobile employees to seamlessly connect their laptops, smartphones and tablets to the iPass Mobile Network—the world’s largest authenticated Wi-Fi network—while ensuring IT departments have complete visibility and control of network usage, security and costs wherever their employees travel.
