iPass reduces enterprise mobility costs

iPass, a provider of enterprise mobility services, has announced that the iPass Mobile Network has surpassed 150,000 WiFi venues for an overall broadband footprint of 156,000 venues (including Ethernet, WiFi, free and iPass-vetted WiFi, and Inflight WiFi hotpots) in nearly 100 countries.

The iPass Mobile Network includes: Broadband coverage in 92 of the world’s top 100 airports and a total of 654 airports worldwide; Over 32,000 hotels and convention centres; Over 110,000 retail locations; Inflight WiFi access on 1,000 aircraft and 3,800 flights a day; More than 20,000 free WiFi hotspots as part of the iPass OpenAccess service.

“Our vision is to provide enterprises seamless connectivity for their mobile workforce, and at the same time drive down mobility costs,” said Evan Kaplan, president and CEO of iPass.

“With the addition of new services over the last six months, such as new free and paid WiFi services and Inflight WiFi, we have been able to grow to more than 150,000 venues, continuing to ensure our customers access to a world class service.”
