Popular comedian and TV personality Jimmy Carr took to the stage to present the awards and immediately had the room in stitches. It was welcome relief after much of the room were still reeling after the England Match had ended. Jimmy opened his act simply...“F-ing Uruguay!“
Fuelled by a gourmet meal, and a touch of alcohol, attendees were treated to some great stand up from Carr which was interspersed with off the cuff quips about anyone that came within about three feet! Hecklers in the room were dealt with in Jimmy’s usual style much to the amusement of the crowd.
The award winners were announced to rapturous applause from the room as excellence in the industry was recognised on the night. Winners took to the stage to receive their awards from Carr and have their pictures taken with the sponsors. Winning a Comms Business Award is not only recognition from within the industry but also a badge of honour to be deservedly flaunted. Well done to the winners!
