Avaya has announced the appointment of Steve Joyner to European Channel Lead. Reporting to Fadi Moubarak, Vice President, Channels at Avaya International, Joyner is responsible for growing Avaya’s channel business by scaling through a fully diversified and updated landscape of channel partners and distributors across Europe.
Steve Joyner joined Avaya following the acquisition of Nortel in 2009 and has held numerous engineering, sales and channel roles in his 30 year career, both in the UK and the Middle East. Prior to his new role, he led the sales engineering teams that supported all of Avaya’s European Sales.
Fadi Moubarak, Vice President, Channels, Avaya commented “Steve is the right person to lead our European channel business. The movement of customers to the cloud has changed the rules of the game for many of our partners, and the opportunity is there for the taking for partners who can add value and new capabilities in this area. Steve has a long history within Avaya, and his experience makes him a perfect fit to drive our cloud strategy with partners who are ready to take their customers’ communications and collaboration solutions capabilities to the next level.”
Steve Joyner, European Channel Lead, Avaya added, “I could not have come back to a channel role at a more important and exciting time for Avaya. Delivering success for customers is a huge focus for us, and our partners are integral to delivering that success. I’m heading up a community that is tremendously loyal to the brand and that is full of energy to realise the opportunities that lie within our existing install base. Not everybody has all the pillars to manage a fully-realised digital transformation, and it’s an exciting challenge to manage and marry together our partner relationships and create that mutual relevance. Our partner relationships are an essential part of the formula for Avaya’s continued success.”
