Latest Rocom and Avaya Collaboration a Success

Voice and data telecoms distributor, Rocom celebrates the success of their latest vertical workshop in the Education Sector. The Workshop, which took place in Welwyn Garden City on December 9th, was held in conjunction with Avaya and NMS Adaptive.

Rocom recruited a specialist speaker from the Education Sector for the event – providing resellers with a detailed break-down of key pain points for resellers seeking to succeed in the education sector. The workshop included funding models, buying procedures and access routes to decision makers. Resellers were then shown how to position the Avaya IP Office system as an ideal solution for schools, with several tailored benefits (for example using NMS Adaptive software to automatically SMS parents if their child is absent from class).

Paul Burn, Systems Reseller Manager at Rocom said, “the workshop has proved a hit with resellers. Again, they have praised our industry expert who shared his extensive knowledge on the education sector - Avaya Systems are an excellent fit.”

Kevin Harrison, Avaya Business Unit Manager at Rocom commented, “We’re really pleased with both the turn out and response we have received from the event at Welwyn Garden City. By giving our resellers the tools to pursue new market opportunities we are helping them weather the current market conditions and even prosper as they actively expand into new areas of business. We are already starting to see the benefits of this strategy and we plan to continue offering resellers these free workshops on a variety of different verticals in 2009.”

The Welwyn Garden City event follows two extremely well received workshops, which Rocom hosted in October. Their success has prompted Rocom to plan further events in 2009 with a range of different vertical market studies being prepared and specialist speakers recruited.
