LB Telecoms on its way.

In less than 6 months, Hyde-based LB Telecom & Data have gone from a start-up company to ISO 9001 accredited - and won some exciting new contracts into the bargain!

With 10 local employees totalling 125 years industry experience, LB Telecom is justifiably proud of its achievements - particularly in such a short space of time. Managing Director, Lawrence Boswell, explains: "We particularly wanted to work with large construction companies and knew that ISO 9001 accreditation was essential to progress this. Gaining accreditation is just the first step; we will be audited every year to ensure we continue to meet the criteria. Larger businesses tend to undertake this type of accreditation as a matter of course but we think it's fairly unusual for a small business. However it shows our pedigree, commitment and of course forms a large part of our staff training."

Tony O'Toole, Regional Operations Manager for Balfour Kirkpatrick, agrees. "ISO 9001 accreditation is non-negotiable as far as we are concerned - it's part of our pre-qualification procedures that all suppliers must have. LB Telecom first worked with us when we refurbished our Stoke office and they installed our entire high specification network cabling requirements. Since then they have been involved in our Manchester Schools developments which aim to bring schools up to 21st century standards and have worked with us at the Balfour site offices of the Manchester Joint Hospitals projects.

Their service is excellent, they are competitively priced and their after-care service works very well too. On large projects one can generally expect the odd hiccup; fortunately LB Telecom & Data have the experience and foresight to bring any issues to a successful resolution with the minimum of fuss. I have already recommended them to other Balfour Kilpatrick project managers and fully expect that we will continue to work together in the future."
