Mainline’s Club event hits the target

Axe throwing, treasure hunts and ongoing revenue updates were the unlikely order of the day at the latest Club event for dealers, organised by Mainline Digital Communications.

Orange distributor, Mainline, hosted a day of business updates and country pursuits at the Coombe Abbey Hotel, situated in 500 acres of parkland in the heart of Warwickshire.

Mainline’s Club dealers were given an update on the impact of ongoing revenue, new tariffs and Mainline’s new insurance service, a profit-making alternative to Orange Care.

Toby Gazzina, enterprise sales manager at RIM, gave a presentation on enhancing BlackBerry business by targeting the professional services sector.

Nick Underwood-Lea from Fone Solutions said of the day: “As usual, a very worthwhile event with plenty to take on board. The presentation from RIM was extremely informative and it’s good to see Mainline continue to take the initiative for its dealers, this time in terms of sourcing a good, profitable alternative to Orange Care.”

After the meeting, dealers had the chance to take part in country pursuit activities, including clay pigeon shooting, archery, rifle shooting and axe throwing.

“The event was a great success,” commented Gail Hollinshead, Mainline’s director of dealer sales. “Mainline has always offered its dealers an extensive, first rate level of support and in the current tough economic climate, events like the club meeting reinforce this.
