Manchester Internet Infrastructure firm set to meet 2013 challenges

Manchester Internet infrastructure firm M247 Limited has begun to fill its second new multi-million pound datacentre in Trafford Park and has recently taken delivery of a large consignment of server racks that are soon to be fitted inside its purpose built secure and climate controlled data floor

It’s anticipated that there will be more than 300 of these rack by the time the data floor is completely full. “This will give us practically unlimited capacity for many years into the future and it’s just what’s needed to help us meet the demands of the new communications and media markets” says Chris Byrd, M247 Technical Director.

“Although server colocation is one of the mainstays of our business, our challenge for 2013 is not to simply fill our new data centre with collocated servers but also to improve the diversity of our business offerings for customers looking for the very latest Internet and connectivity solutions. We need to achieve all of this while maintaining our position as one of the greenest and most efficient datacentres in the whole of Europe” says Chris.

Every year M247 has been trading, the company has grown rapidly with no sign of a slowdown in its market in general. With online trading predicted to reach an all-time high over the Christmas period and continue growing throughout next year, it is clear that M247 is well placed to supply the needs of companies wanting to take advantage of the continuing Internet boom.
