Matrix Agrees £1.2 million Carrier Services Contract

Virtual Network Operator Matrix Communications Group has today signed a two-year contract with IZR Solutions, a business ISP specialising in MPLS (Multi Protocol Label Switching) Wide Area Networking

The contract, which has a value of £1.2 million over two years, will involve IZR migrating its IP Clear, CellStream and FrameStream service requirements to Matrix in order to benefit from end-to-end support and access to a larger base of established carrier relationships at more compelling rates. The contract includes advanced technical support, dedicated project management and pre-sales support – all backed by Service Level Agreements.

“Matrix Communications Group offers a range of commercial, organisational and technical support benefits that will give us an added competitive edge in the marketplace,” commented Uwe Nitsche, Network and Operations Director of IZR Solutions. “We’ve grown rapidly and successfully. By appointing Matrix to consolidate our carrier relationships on our behalf, we can concentrate on meeting the demands of our business customers.”

Ian Smith, Chief Executive of Matrix said: “Matrix’s carrier-neutral stance means that we deliver the most appropriate and cost-effective connectivity solutions. Our demonstrable ability to add value to our partners own offering was key to securing the contract. This, combined with our in-depth knowledge of the carrier market, our expertise in provisioning and deploying carrier services and our professional technical and support services, substantiates our move to become a leading UK VNO.”
