Birmingham based infrastructure and networking solutions distributor Mayflex has unveiled plans for a multi faceted launch in to the Middle East Market.
The company is forming a stand-alone business based in Dubai to focus on customer and market development. The company also confirmed its participation at Gitex, the region’s most important IT Infrastructure exhibition being held at Dubai World Trade Centre in November 2006.
Andrew Percival, Managing Director of Mayflex (UK) made the announcement, “We have had our eye on the potential this region has to offer for some time now. The investment and commitment behind this new venture is significant. We will open for business in January 2007 with a team of 12, 75% of which are experienced industry sales professionals”.
Commenting on the support from vendors that Mayflex work closely with in the UK Percival continued, “I have been delighted with the positive approach received from the majority of our key vendor partners. We are looking forward to sharing the success of this operation with- amongst others – Brand-Rex, Cooper B-Line, APC Netbotz, Chatsworth CPI, LevelOne and of course our Excel manufacturing partners. A broad and plentiful stock of products from each vendor will be held locally”.
The new office will be run by the recently appointed Regional Managing Director, Gary Highton. Gary brings over twelve years experience of the Middle East market, eight of which were at director level in one of Dubai’s most successful infrastructure and networking distributors.
