Motorola M2M exec joins Telit

Telit Wireless Solutions, an international specialist in machine to machine (M2M) technology, has announced that Yossi Lovton, the former product portfolio manager for M2M cellular modules and car phones at Motorola Israel, has joined the company.

He will take over a strategic role in the global R&D team of Telit. Furthermore, Telit has hired Moshe Yeshurun, a former integration team leader at the M2M department of Motorola.

Lovton has extensive experience in product management, business development as well as systems engineering in the cellular, telecom and data communication section. The high level product manager and hardware engineer has joined Telit to further develop the company’s technical strategy.

Lovton played a central role in Motorola’s M2M business. He worked 28 years for Motorola Israel in different positions. Amongst others he supervised the M2M cellular product managers and was in charge for the division’s global portfolio of M2M cellular modules and car phones.

According to the latest market overview from Beecham Research, Motorola is the number five in the global M2M industry with 4.8% market share. Telit is number three with 12.4% market share. Since 2004 Telit’s revenues are characterised by constant year on year growth. In the first half year of 2010, Telit’s revenues increased by more than 60%.
