New appointments at Datasharp UK

Datasharp UK has announced two key new appointments to its top-level management line-up as the company prepares to build on its most profitable year in 30 years of business.

Jane Cockcroft, who has been with the company since 1996 took over the position as Operations Director last year alongside her father Paul McIntosh CEO, has been promoted to Managing Director while Nicola Venter, who handles the company’s corporate sales division, has been made Group Operations Manager.

Jane has worked closely with both Paul McIntosh and Allan Williams – Technical Director over the past year in putting strategies in place that will allow Datasharp to expand as a Group. Her new position recognises the success she has achieved steering the company through new product launches and unleashing a strong push on marketing.

“Since becoming Operations Director last year I have enjoyed watching Datasharp grow in size and also in stature as the company gathers pace and prepares for further growth. With a portfolio of world class products and services as seen in our exciting launch of Datasharp Optimum Connect – our new division providing high-end solutions, combined with strong direct relationships with BT, Siemens, Cisco, Shoretel and LG, Datasharp is set for a great future. 2011 is poised to be a great year for everyone associated with Datasharp”- Jane Cockcroft MD

Jane continued “I am delighted to be appointed managing director and look forward to continuing to work alongside a great team of dedicated professionals – and welcoming Nicola Venter to the head office management team – as we expand the group. There’s no doubt about it, the future is very exciting.”

Nicola, who has built an impressive career in the telecoms industry by providing voice and data platforms to large Corporate Clients and networked solutions throughout Europe and America, takes on the role of group operations manager. She also handles the delivery of Datasharp UK’s corporate sales strategy, attracting a portfolio of high-end clients.

Nicola said “In all my years in the industry Datasharp is by far the best company I have ever worked for and I am not surprised they have been shortlisted for the Cornwall Business Awards’ “Employer of the Year”, 2011. I am proud to be part of the Datasharp family and excited for the future as Datasharp goes from strength to strength.

“Datasharp has recently been positioning for further expansion by partnering companies that see the high value our business proposition brings. I’m looking forward to working closely with the group’s associated offices and assisting them with larger corporate opportunities. It’s an exciting time for Datasharp with an unprecedented portfolio of world leading products and services.”

Paul McIntosh said “Since the board restructure at the end of 2009 Datasharp has quadrupled its financial position and trebled its gross profits. The restructuring is the best thing that could have happened for Datasharp. Under the new management, it has grown from strength to strength and is in the best financial position by far in its 30-year history.”

“The Datasharp brand stands for quality highlighted by the products in our portfolio and customer care awards we receive and we are now looking to expand the group further by partnering with companies who are looking to get into larger system deals and benefit from their association with Datasharp.”
