New Channel Chief at Cisco Announced

Cisco has announced the appointment of Bernadette Wightman to lead Cisco’s Channel organisation across the UK and Ireland. Wightman will take on the role at the beginning of Cisco’s new Fiscal Year on 28th July.

“The channel organisation, which is one of the largest within Cisco’s global business, has gone from strength to strength thanks to John Donovan and the team. I look forward to building on that success by ensuring our partners are in a strong position to ake advantage of some key market transitions and the exciting growth opportunities across emerging technologies and segments" commented Wightman.

John Donovan moves from his current role to head-up Cisco’s UK and Ireland Enterprise and Mid-Market business.

Wightman joined Cisco in 1999 as a Channel Account Manager within the BT team, and has subsequently performed a number of roles including leading the Cisco team into BT Global services, heading up the combined BT Channel team from Cisco. In 2005 she took on the role of developing Cisco’s SMB business. Wightman has successfully driven growth within the SMB operation through her leadership and collaborative style working across Cisco and with our partners.

The new head of Cisco’s SMB UK and Ireland operation will be announced in the coming weeks.
