New Nortel SMB Initiative finds Favour at Crane

Distributor Crane has moved to recognise Nortel’s new Small to Medium Business (SMB) initiative as an industry leading programme. The Crane Nortel division, which is currently headed up by CEO David Grant following the departure of Andrew Saunders last month, sees the Nortel program as being designed to allow their to maximise the huge opportunity they see in the SMB segment of the market.

The Nortel SMB product proposition has recently been enhanced, to include both, the well established Business Communications Manager (BCM) product and the New SMB Data portfolio. This combination puts Crane Nortel in a good position, offering resellers a single vendor who can provide tailored end to end solutions for SMB’s. This enhancement to the portfolio allows Crane to focus on the key growth areas expected in Security and VoIP.

David Garwood, Product Marketing Manager for Crane’s Nortel business commented, “We believe that the support services, pre-sales, account management and on line ordering offered by Crane fully compliment Nortel’s Accelerate programme. Crane will help guide resellers through the accreditation phase and ensure that our dedicated Nortel team provide the ongoing support and services that makes the resellers investment in Nortel a profitable one. It is this combination of support which led to us receiving the ‘Best Distributor in EMEA’ award from Nortel earlier this year.”
