NextiraOne UK awarded place on new Public Services Network Framework

Win reinforces communications provider’s Public Sector presence in Healthcare and Local Government sectors

NextiraOne today announced that it has been successfully awarded frameworks in multiple lots under the new Public Services Network (PSN) Services Framework issued by Government Procurement Service. Following a rigorous procurement process, NextiraOne will be able to provide Public Sector organisations with the following services: Communications; CCTV and Physical Security Monitoring; Conferencing and LAN. The PSN Framework will initially be in place for two-years with two one year extension options available.

“Securing multiple lots within the PSN Services Framework is testimony to NextiraOne’s focus and strength within the Public Sector as a leading Communications Service Provider. We are among a small group of suppliers selected to join the framework and this award clearly reflects our extensive and continued investment in and commitment to the Public Sector, in particular in Healthcare and Local Government. Our ability to provide bespoke service-led solutions that meet our customers’ exact needs, combined with a high degree of personal service sets us apart from others on the framework; we are a safe pair of hands that is a perfect fit for the sector,” said Steven Skakel, Managing Director UK & Ireland, NextiraOne.

Winning a place on the framework reinforces NextiraOne’s long-standing Public Sector presence. For over a decade NextiraOne has provided communications to leading organisations in Local Government, Healthcare, Emergency Services and Education. Steven added: “PSN is one of the most exciting and far-reaching changes to Public Sector ICT procurement in recent years. We are delighted to be selected as a trusted Government partner, helping to transform the way Public Sector bodies provide services to the public and collaborate effectively through innovative communications technologies.”

The PSN contract is part of the Government’s ICT strategy to replace the Public Sector’s often inefficient and aging legacy networks. PSN enables the reuse and sharing of systems whilst helping deliver closer, more collaborative working practices. The new framework will provide secure, interoperable, communications based upon open standards. It will also introduce transparency and simplicity when procuring communications services. By reshaping its networks in this way, the Government aims to enhance time and cost savings, while promoting secure data sharing across the Public Sector.
