Nimans And Avaya Host New Insight Initiative

Nimans and Rocom resellers have gained a valuable glimpse into Avaya’s future plans and strategic thinking at a new insight event. Building on the success of a previous similar initiative, the second quarterly partner meeting took place at a hotel on the outskirts of Manchester - and attracted a very healthy turnout.

Nimans’ Head of System Sales, Tim Freeth, said resellers had the opportunity to ask questions of key Avaya and Nimans personnel, including Lee Shorten, Avaya’s UK and Ireland Managing Director.

Lee Shorten provided an update on plans to enhance support levels for resellers operating in the SMB arena, whilst he also outlined details about Avaya’s general business strategy going forward.

“This latest event had a strong SMB focus to address lots of general questions being posed in this particular market space,” said Tim. “In addition there was also information for customers operating in the bigger enterprise arena. Feedback was very positive.”

Freeth added: “One of the biggest talking points was Avaya’s introduction of dedicated Channel Account Managers for SMB resellers who will operate in line with distributors such as ourselves. They have been a great success in the enterprise market.”

He concluded: “We want to provide resellers with all the current information and strategic thinking so that they can move their businesses further forward with increased confidence, as both Nimans/Rocom and Avaya recognise that knowledge is power. The event was a resounding success, with further similar exercises planned for later this year. It’s another example of how we keep in close contact with our customers.”
