Nimans and Rocom on Song with Music On Hold

Nimans and Rocom say they have hit the right note with an exclusive series of music on hold players, which are backed by an extended three-year warranty and utilise the latest digital technology.

The company says their Fortune range offers better value and improved reliability compared to traditional CD players which are now no longer sold by the two distributors. Dealer Sales Director, Tom Maxwell, says the MP3-based technology has made a big impact since being launched two years ago at Rocom and last year at Nimans.

Tom asked: “Why use a CD when you can use MP3 files which are much more user friendly, flexible and easier to manage?” He continued: “The entry-level MOH 1200 is an MP3 Music On Hold player that connects to any PBX and has the capacity to provide music and messages to callers put on hold. It is simple to use; just drag and drop MP3 files to the unit via a USB port and up to 32MB of data can be held on the flash memory, equivalent to 60 minutes of messages.” With an RRP of £99.95 the unit accepts SD cards up to 2 GB for increased memory capacity. There’s also an intuitive play list schedule, allowing messages and music to be played at designated times/days.

The mid-range Fortune 1600 includes 128MB of Flash Memory and has an RRP of £169.95. Meanwhile the flagship MOH 2000 is ideal for organisations that need to update content remotely. It can be programmed to self-update at preset intervals via an internet connection to a remote server and has an RRP of £225.00

“MP3 represents the future of Music on Hold for us. Sales are growing on a monthly basis, overtaking standalone CD-based players which we now no longer stock,” Tom concluded.

Nimans and Rocom also say they are enjoying impressive sales success with a complementary message on hold service, based on a professional script which is tailored for individual sites. More details are available by visiting www.fortuneonhold.com.
