Resellers from across the country turned out in force to hear how the latest product developments from Swyx can benefit their businesses – removing the fear factor of IP sales.
Distributor Nimans hosted ‘insight’ events in London and Manchester which highlighted how the power of the Swyx pure IP PBX communication engine represents an ideal opportunity for resellers to boost their revenue streams. The ‘inspirational’ sessions were designed to break down the barriers of traditional PBX resellers who may lack confidence in stepping into the IP arena for the first time.
Swyx turns a Microsoft Windows server into a complete UC solution and according to Nimans’ Swyx Business Manager, Lynnette Smith, the half-day seminars ‘opened dealers’ eyes’ about the great potential for sales growth – offering a viable alternative to traditional installations. She pointed out that elements of Swyx, such as advanced call routing or call recording, can be sold separately and bolted onto an existing system, negating the need to sell a complete telephone platform.
Smith explained: “Swyx is the ideal solution, particularly for resellers who want to expand their sales opportunities and broaden their customer base. There’s a big opportunity for resellers to embrace.”
Her comments were endorsed by Swyx Senior Channel Account Manager, Andrew Wlodek, who said that for many, Swyx was still the biggest kept secret in the market. “It is about highlighting new opportunities for resellers who might be quite staid in the way they sell with standard PBX technology. We can offer much more than just a standard telephone solution for their customers.”
He continued: “Many resellers are scared about taking their first steps into the data arena because they don’t understand it or feel they don’t have the skills set. But we want to give them the confidence that it is an easy transition to make.
“When dealers leave these events, they are inspired. It gets them thinking that maybe their businesses need to change slightly or the way they need to sell can evolve. They have the knowledge to move forward. IP is something they are not used to, but Swyx is a very easy way of selling an IP product and an ideal way to look at new market opportunities.”
Wlodek concluded: “The major proportion of the UK marketplace is still based on traditional telephony, so there is massive potential out there. By taking a look at Swyx, resellers realise it is very feature rich, easy to configure and install. The support from Swyx and Nimans is there from the start to provide a great platform for resellers to build from.”
