Nimans Connect Develops Online Dealer Portal

Nimans has chosen telecoms billing services company, Aurora Kendrick James (AKJ) for its online dealer portal to support Nimans' Connect Resellers.

Nimans, who recently repositioned its Connect portfolio with major providers including Uniworld and Griffin, wanted to create a new dealer portal that would help resellers proactively manage their customers. The resulting portal, which launches in September 2006, enables the reseller to view customer billing information and usage trends instantly and securely, while also giving access to up-to-date commission statements.

John Betton, Nimans Connect business manager, says: “When Nimans Connect decided to expand its portfolio to include CPS, WLR and broadband, we wanted to create a service that was different from others in the market. We talked to many resellers and a common theme was the desire for greater ability to manage and support their customers. Many of the resellers had reported being 'cut out' of the relationship by suppliers once they signed up a customer and in some cases, the supplier had aggressively tried to entice business away from the reseller after the initial sale was complete.”

He adds: “By giving our resellers full access to the information they require to manage their customers, we believe they can improve service levels and significantly strengthen their client relationships. Ultimately, this process will lead to more business and reduced customer churn. The dealer portal is critical to this aim.”

Matt Atkinson, group CEO of AKJ, comments: "We have worked closely with Nimans for many years. With so much competition in the marketplace, resellers need services that can help them manage and respond to their customers and we are certain the new portal will help Nimans grow market share in this area.”
