Nimans’ Dealers Embrace New NEC System

Dealers have given an enthusiastic response to the launch of NEC’s SV8100 powerful unified comms platform which is being hailed as a vital weapon as businesses battle to beat the recession.

New and existing NEC resellers converged at Nimans’ Manchester headquarters - from as far as Swindon - for a sales and technical workshop to learn more about the innovative and feature-rich system.

The initiative was hosted by NEC’s Distribution Account Manager, Simon Hughes, who told the audience that business survival was now one of the biggest challenges end users face.

He emphasised: “Business objectives have changed in recent months as the economy slows down but we have a product which can help them work smarter and more efficiently. For a dealer it is important to offer them something beyond what they have got already. The SV8100 is the answer.”

One Cheshire-based dealer said her company was looking to add NEC to its systems portfolio because the SV8100 represents such a powerful and cost effective all-round proposition.

“It fits within our market place where converged solutions leads to greater progression. Every telephone system claims to be feature-rich but this one genuinely does seem to live up to the hype. When we are quoting for lots of systems we have lost out in the past because we have had to add on extra features which does not then make it cost effective. This is pretty much a complete package, making it easier for our customers to see a return on investment and therefore an easier sell for us.”

Resellers heard that the SV8100 is a modular and extremely reliable system which combines future-proof expandability with a capacity of 712 ports and 576 mailboxes. In addition to the standard 19 inch rack design, a 9.5 inch mini version is being launched which is ideally suited to branch offices and even call centres due to its compact size yet identical performance.
