Nimans introduces reboot solution via text

MSPs
Nimans is stocking an ingenious innovation that reboots devices remotely via text message.

The Powertxt solution uses a standard SIM card and can send a text alert when mains power is lost or restored. It can also turn power on or off remotely and control power by time and date to significantly save on energy costs.

The device dramatically reduces engineer visits and is ideally suited to a host of environments and applications such as CCTV, digital signage, restaurants, facilities management and general comms and data installation.

Nimans’ Purchasing Director, Andy Winfield, says Powertxt is simple to install and sends out an instant text alert when power has been lost for all devices connected on the same power ring main. Users can send a text to turn power on or off remotely.

“It is estimated that over 70% of all downtime events can be solved with a hard power reboot,” he explained. “Return on investment is almost instant, in the vast majority of cases, paying for itself on the first saved engineer visit.”

Powertxt has an RRP of £149.99 (inc VAT) and can be controlled by up to five different users for maximum convenience and cost effective performance. It requires no IP address or permission for network access.
