Nimans dealers turned out in force to witness the unveiling of Panasonic's eagerly awaited unified communications platform for the first time.
Nimans was the first distributor in the country to showcase the NCP Network Communication Platform, as around 50 resellers converged at a Manchester hotel to experience a live demo of the innovative system which is available in two versions – four to sixty or forty to one hundred users.
The audience included Jeff Williams, Director of Liverpool-based dealer Green Spot Com who is predicting strong demand for the new IP-based technology. “This is certainly a major step forward for Panasonic and I'm sure that the NCP will quickly establish itself in the channel. I am excited by its great potential,” said Jeff.
“To be honest it's something we have all been waiting for. As a sole Panasonic dealer I am now fully armed to do the job. This will open up a whole new market for us and I am really looking forward to offering this to many of my customers in the small to medium sized business sector.
“Unified Comms is here to stay; it's gaining momentum all the time, more and more people are asking for the applications side of things as they appreciate the positive impact it can have on their business, in terms of raising efficiency and increasing customer service. When Panasonic launch a product they make sure everything is right beforehand so I'm sure that NCP will be a big success.”
Dealers also learned about Panasonic's Communication Assistant productivity software suite which works with the NCP system via traditional PC's, providing a host of powerful on-screen applications to enhance real-time business communications such as point and click telephony and presence capabilities, pinpointing who is in, out or unavailable to contact within a company.
“As Panasonic's number one UK distributor Nimans is ideally placed to help a dealer capitalise on the great opportunities NCP provides,” said Julie Greaves, Nimans' Panasonic Business Manager. “We are sure this new platform will generate impressive benefits to resellers and end users. It is easy to install and maintain and enables businesses to effectively reach, serve and retain their own customers. This is another important milestone in Panasonic's rich communication heritage.”
