Nine Group rising talent

Josh Webster is an 18 year old Suffolk based racing driver, already holding titles for 2011 RSF MSA Young Driver of the Year, BRDC Rising Star and the youngest MSA Team UK elite driver. He also happens to be the son of Nine Group Director Nick Webster!

Nine Group have been proud to sponsor Josh Webster since the early days of his career. James Palmer, CEO of Nine Group explained why the company wanted to be involved:

“Yes, Josh is the son of one of our Directors, but our commitment to him goes far beyond the family loyalty! Josh is an incredible example of how dedicating yourself to a passion, absorbing knowledge from the people who advise you and committing to be the best can pay off. He’s had incredible success in his career so far, and we have every confidence that his professionalism and dedication will take him far.”

Josh currently races in the Protyre Formula Renault BARC Championship where he’s enjoying a fantastic season so far. However in July this year he agreed a last minute deal to make his first Formula 3 appearance – with just a few days to prepare!

Undaunted by the challenge and keen to make an impression, Josh focused on the task ahead and raced in the prestigious annual RTL GP Masters of F3 race in Zandvoort, Netherlands and ultimately came away with an emphatic class win. “It’s fantastic to win my first ever F3 race in the Invitational Class of the Masters”, said Josh. “It was the most physically demanding race of my life so, combined with my lack of seat time in an F3 car, it made the win all the more satisfying. To win in front of such a huge crowd as well is an experience to remember that’s for sure!”
