North West IT firm moves offices after rapid expansion

IT services company adept4 is moving to a new HQ after doubling its staff following a series of acquisitions.

The business, which was based at Sci-Tech Daresbury, is moving to the nearby Office Village at Daresbury Business Park, after more than doubling its staff from 19 to 43 since the start of the year.

The move will see the company merge its three North West offices to one central base at the Daresbury Business Park.

Peter Birkett, CEO of adept4, said: “We’re looking forward to moving into our new premises. We’ve had a very positive year and are delighted to have welcomed so many dedicated, talented people to the team.

“This office move will make management and internal communication much easier and will ultimately allow us to function more effectively from a central base.”

adept4 has made a number of acquisitions so far this year – most recently taking over QmediaStream, the digital partner for Glastonbury Festival. Qmediastream counts the American General Life insurance company and the world famous Glastonbury Festival amongst its clients.

The company also acquired software development and health and safety consultancy, TGF Consultants, earlier this year. The acquisition is expected to help take adept4’s turnover from £2.25m in 2011 to more than £4m by the end of this year.

The acquisitions follow a £1m contract, which was secured this year to provide IT support to global maritime engineering company, Viking SeaTech.

Peter Birkett said: “This second deal continues our strategy of pursuing growth through both organic means and acquisitions.

“Our recent acquisitions enable us to give clients an extended service offer and to explore synergies which will deliver benefits to our clients and create new revenue streams for us. It also gives us access to new markets and sectors and will help us drive turnover and profit in the coming year.”
