Northgate is a provider of specialist software, outsourcing and information technology services to the global human resources and UK local government, education and public safety markets. The company will now transfer all of its mobile connections to Vodafone, resulting in savings of over £1 million. In addition, Northgate employees will get greater flexibility to work on the move by being empowered with smartphones from the BlackBerry Curve and BlackBerry Pearl series.
Neil Willson, group procurement manager at Northgate said: “Following a tender exercise including the major mobile brands, Vodafone delivered the most competitive bid commercially and demonstrated their ability to deliver a joined up global service.”
Northgate is the lead customer for a new programme within Vodafone, designed to provide consistent services to international businesses across their countries of operation. Under this programme Northgate will benefit from a harmonised and consolidated service for its global mobile estate. Vodafone UK is working in conjunction with Vodafone Global Enterprise, the division specialising in multi-national corporate customers, to deliver this international solution.
