Panasonic to Herald in a New Generation of UC Platforms for SME’s

Panasonic UK is gearing up in readiness for the launch of their packet based platform that will initially target SME organisations of up to 60 employees.

Marketing Manager Steve Gerrard told Comms Business Magazine, “This new Panasonic system will provide a Unified Communications applications platform for the SME and will be a complimentary product addition to our existing portfolio.”

Shipments of the new product are expected in the first week of September with Panasonic UK internal launches taking place this week followed by a launch to direct account resellers at the Belfry on 8 July and to their distributors on the following day.

Gerrard has also hinted at the appointment of a new type of reseller for the new product.

“I have always been a believer in the inherent application enabling capabilities of IP based networks. We will be examining means of empowering existing resellers to sell our new products and where gaps exist we will put new outlets in place.”

Gerrard himself is steeped in data and networking experience having previously worked with Newbridge Networks, Zylan, Redback and Mirrorpoint.
