Plantronics’ Swindon office follows in the footsteps of the company’s other global sites in Mexico and China which have already been accredited the ISO 14001 certificate, the international specification for an environmental management system. Today’s announcement brings the Swindon office in line with these global facilities and continues Plantronics’ global strategy of care for the environment.
Plantronics promotes the use of headsets and conference call facilities, which reduce the need for excessive travel to business meetings, helping companies reduce their carbon footprints. The ISO 14000 certificate underlines Plantronics’ own green credentials and its commitment to sustainable working practices.

Plantronics encourages the use of conference calls, reducing the need to travel to meetings. Likewise, we want to make sure we our day-to-day office practices support our green messages. The ISO 14000 certificate not only establishes our office as sustainable, it also proves that our employees take these values seriously board and are promoting greener living throughout their working day.”
The ISO 14000 environmental management standards exist to help organisations minimize how their operations affect the environment, while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. All Plantronics products are RoHS compliant and manufactured at two sites, both of which have introduced significant targets to reduce their impact on the environment. These objectives include a reduction in energy usage, emissions to air and a reduction in waste through reuse, reduction and recycling.
