Pontis Named ‘Cool Vendor’ by Gartner

Pontis, a developer of software marketing systems for Communication Service Providers (CSPs), has announced that its Marketing Delivery Platform (MDP), which allows mobile, TV and fixed line operators to target customers with personalised marketing offers, has been recognised in the 2009 CRM Marketing and Analytics Cool Vendors report by Gartner Inc.

The report highlights four vendors that ‘offer unique capabilities to enable companies to improve marketing processes and aid the execution of targeted offers, while improving measurement, accountability and creativity.’

The Pontis MDP is a real time fulfilment and execution system for personalised and contextual marketing offers across platforms and channels. The Pontis solution has been proven to increase the success of marketing promotions by ensuring that relevant offers are based on actual user behaviour and interests. Pontis has secured deals with a growing number of tier one operators including Vodafone, Telefonica and T-Mobile.

Alon Werber, vice president for marketing and business development at Pontis, said: “We are delighted to have been recognised in the Gartner ‘Cool Vendors’ report, and see it as a testament of the benefits we can provide to operators. In today’s economic climate, it is more important than ever that operators are able to be more creative in the design of offers and can facilitate the rapid deployment of campaigns, whilst ensuring customer retention. Giving CSPs the ability to mix and match highly relevant offers based on real-time user behaviour and triggers, significantly enhances all aspects of customer relationship management and genuinely impacts ARPU, customer loyalty and lifetime value.”

This is the latest achievement for a company that is experiencing continued growth. Pontis recently secured a total of $19,650,000 in equity financing from Norwest Venture Partners (NVP), which will enable the company to further expand their customer base and technology development across the mobile, TV and fixed line platforms.
