Positive Response from Nimans’ Resellers as Avaya Outlines Channel Strategy

Nimans’ and Rocom resellers from across the country turned out in force to discover more about Avaya’s future strategy and direction. The first in a series of quarterly partner sessions took place at Avaya’s Guildford headquarters led by Jeremy Butt, Avaya’s VP of worldwide channels, Lee Shorten, Avaya’s UK and Ireland Managing Director and also key Nimans personnel.

Attendees learned about Avaya’s plans for 2010 with the day-long event focusing on many key areas such as an update on the recent Nortel acquisition. Resellers also heard about forthcoming product and channel developments, pricing models and a general distribution update. A Q&A panel was also staged.

Sarah Linnett, Avaya Business Manager at Nimans and Rocom confirmed: “There was a very healthy turn out of resellers who joined us to gain a valuable insight into the way ahead with ourselves and Avaya. The roadmap for the next 12 months was very interesting as Avaya has some innovative and exciting plans in the pipeline.”

She added: “Overall there was a very positive response from the audience. I think Avaya addressed any concerns about their future strategy very well and everyone left with a much more clearly defined vision as to the way ahead - with Avaya emphasising how it will create a new standard for business communications. The new Avaya Connect partner program, which provides a range of incentives, rewards and support facilities, is a great platform which Nimans, Rocom and our customers are keen to embrace and benefit from. It underpins the many ways ourselves and Avaya can help dealers grow their businesses. Here at Nimans we are dedicated to help and support them every step of the way.”

Meanwhile, Lynda Colman, Value Added Reseller Sales Manager, Avaya UK, commented: “The session at Guildford reflected the new wave of optimism in our industry and the sense that customers are ready to invest in technology that drives productivity and reduces operational expenses. These sessions are important two-way communications vehicles, offering an opportunity for us to share our future plans, hear what resellers have to say and generate a mutual confidence that together we can drive significant business growth.”
