Following on from Rocom’s recent announcement as ‘Siemens Distributor of the Year’, it today announces the formation of the Siemens Reseller Advisory Council as the channel’s thought leaders in respect of collaborative partnerships, best practice and policy shaping. It will be a 3-party Group involving distributor, reseller and manufacturer.
The initiative, from forward thinking Rocom, is a consequence of Siemens decision to re-structure its channel model to one of supply through distribution only. The founding resellers include acknowledged and leading Tier 1 Siemens Resellers – Lloyds Business Communications, Digital IP Ltd and Integra ICT Ltd.
Phil Hambly, Sales & Marketing Director at Rocom said: “Our formation of the Siemens Reseller Advisory Council is perfectly aligned with our strategic intent of adding real value to the channel. We’ve worked hard as a team to communicate the channel benefits of our Total Distribution capability and the endorsement by the leading Siemens resellers – and the formation of the Council – is a fantastic confirmation that we are doing something right in really listening to the needs of our customers. This decision by some of the largest resellers in the country is further evidence of a groundswell movement to Rocom and we are all delighted that hard work and focus is paying off.”
Founding reseller, Ian Allmak of Lloyds Business Communications said: “It’s fair to say that we did have concerns about the change in Siemens Policy but the mature approach taken by Rocom has helped us realise that the Reseller Advisory Council will be a superb vehicle with real channel benefit going forward. We like the idea of working with Rocom, their capabilities are impressive and their ability to ‘bolt on’ value-add through their in-house divisions, particularly their 20-strong marketing, new media and design agency, is perfect to help raise profile and increase sales.”
Rocom will be releasing further detail regarding the Reseller Advisory Council in due course and plans a partner forum in the near future.
