ScanSource Communications Europe to Carry Full Avaya Video Line

Distributor ScanSource Communications Europe says it will be carrying the new Avaya video collaboration solutions, including the Avaya Flare Experience, with the Avaya Desktop Video Device, which will be released later in the year.

With the launch of Avaya’s video collaboration products, ScanSource says that reseller partners can begin growing their business and enhancing their solution offering with minimal investment in time and training, as all Avaya Unified Communications (UC) authorised partners will be able to sell Avaya video collaboration solutions immediately.

Avaya’s video solutions make high-definition, low-bandwidth video collaboration more accessible thanks to enhanced performance and cost savings achieved through Avaya Aura, the company’s IP communications platform that simplifies complex communications networks.

In addition to offering the full product line, including all related accessories, such as displays and brackets, ScanSource Communications Europe will also provide professional services in support of the solution. These services include video assessments, integration and installation, which allow ScanSource reseller partners in the United Kingdom, Germany and Switzerland to deliver an enhanced level of service to their end-user customers.

"Today’s launch represents one of the most significant developments that we’ve seen from Avaya to date. Their new video products will help customers realise one of the most tangible benefits of unified communications: true collaboration," said Xavier Cartiaux, President, ScanSource Europe. "This offering enables resellers to provide a complete UC solution to their end-user customers, while also opening the door to new business discussions. We’re excited about this new product offering and are ready to offer the service and support our reseller partners’ need to be successful in selling Avaya video."

"Avaya sees video as an integral component of a complete, unified communications solution," said Jeremy Butt, vice president, Worldwide Channels, Avaya. "Along with our distributors and value added resellers, we are bringing to market an end-to-end video solution. These solutions leverage SIP and Avaya Aura™, enabling video to be installed, administered and managed through the same network as other communication services – reducing administrative overhead while improving quality of service through aggregated bandwidth management tools. This is great news for our channel partners as they work with the growing number of customers interested in adding video to Unified Communications to enhance collaboration and customer service."
