ScanSource Communications Europe, in partnership with Avaya, recently delivered a hugely successful quarterly Distribution Day at Avaya HQ in Guildford. These quarterly events, designed to increase communication with the channel by sharing the Avaya and ScanSource roadmaps, help bridge the gap between vendor and reseller.
Lee Shorten, UK and Ireland Managing Director, Avaya and his leadership team explained Avaya’s strategy and direction. Avaya Vice President, Worldwide Channels Jeremy Butt was also on hand to answer questions during the open and interactive question and answer session. The day focussed on channel updates including the Nortel acquisition, the new Avaya Connect program and Avaya’s channel offerings.
Avaya’s Chris Barrow presented ‘Demystifying Aura’, an idea forum for SME resellers interested in growing into the Enterprise space, positioned on how to sell Aura and the benefits in becoming an Aura reseller.
“Sessions such as ‘Demystifying Aura’ allow resellers that are interested in growing into Mid-Market and Enterprise understand the benefits and opportunities in the Enterprise space,” said Jim Robertson, Business Development Director, ScanSource Europe Communications. “We will continue to work with those resellers that do want to grow into this sector, building their confidence and engaging them with Avaya Aura. The session was a great success. It was extremely encouraging to see so many quality resellers showing a real interest in growing their business with the opportunity that Avaya Aura can offer.”
Avaya and ScanSource also delivered an in-depth IP Office Release 6 session covering the enhanced features of the new version of the software due for release in February 2010 as well as the support and services changes that the software brings.
