Senior Appointment at Telindus

Network integration specialist, Telindus, has announced the appointment of Simon Parry as Product Manager of the Service Provider division. He will head up Telindus’ Carrier Ethernet and the Broadband Framework Propositions, as well as the Optical Transport and network consultancy.

Parry is well placed to hit the ground running, having spent the last eleven years at Nortel UK. He will be responsible for extending the Carrier Ethernet proposition into new markets, to help Service Providers (SPs) and Operators take advantage of leading technology to provide their customers with carrier class Ethernet products and services. For the Telindus Broadband Framework, Parry will be identifying and augmenting the products, tools and skill sets to help SPs offer next-generation consumer personalised broadband products.

Parry brings extensive experience to the role. As Product Line Manager for Carrier Ethernet at Nortel UK, he was responsible for managing three Carrier Ethernet products in EMEA, planning the strategic portfolio and bringing new technologies to market. He was instrumental in developing the concepts and core technologies behind the Nortel Carrier Ethernet offering, including co-inventing Provider Backbone Transport (PBT, IEEE802.1Qay) Parry currently has sixteen patents pending in the US and Europe, and has nine US Patents and two European Patents granted.
