Servista Launches WLR3 Proposition

Servista, a systems integrator for telecoms companies, has today announced the launch of their Wholesale Line Rental 3 (WLR3) proposition. This offering will allow Communications Providers to migrate onto the new WLR3 platform (EMP). They will then be able to communicate directly with Openreach, the division of BT which leases telephone lines to companies allowing them to resell consumer internet related services.

By 2010, all Communications Providers are required to have EMP compatible systems in place to make the wholesale line rental ordering process more fair and transparent. EMP runs on ebXML (Electronic Business using eXtensible Markup Language) – a protocol never before used in the telecoms industry according to the company.

Servista is partnering with Strategic Imperatives, the company behind the first solution to be established on the EMP platform to provide this specialist solution. Servista which has a long history of providing solutions for the telecommunications market will provide all customers facing interaction and will provide the full gamut of services ranging from consultancy through to systems integration and data migration.

Servista has tailored solutions to suit all sizes of communications providers, ranging from a fully managed service for those smaller communications providers that do not wish to handle WLR3 in-house, to a bespoke solution for larger companies with very specific needs – and everything in-between.

Colin Reith, who has recently left Openreach as head of WLR to join Servista as VP WLR solutions comments: “We are delighted to announce that Servsita is the first to market with a WLR3 offering of this nature. Servista is combining its expertise with that of Strategic Imperatives to offer this cutting edge solution which is of vital importance to any communications provider operating in the UK’s telecommunications market. In coming to Servista, I’m delighted to be able to contribute my 27 years of telecoms experience and pull together this combination of skills to offer such an innovative WLR3 offering.”

Wail Sabbagh, managing director at Strategic Imperatives adds: “It is fantastic to be partnering with Servista to create this market leading solution. We are confident that our technology combined with Servista’s systems integration expertise will be a key differentiator in bringing this WLR3 proposition successfully to market.”
