Skyscape Cloud Services Limited is Awarded the G-Cloud ii Framework Agreement

Skyscape Cloud Services Limited announced that it has been awarded a G-Cloud ii Framework from Government Procurement Service, an Executive Agency of the Cabinet Office.

This framework agreement will allow Skyscape to continue to supply a wide and expanding range of Cloud Services to the UK Public Sector, who will in turn benefit from lower costs, reduced procurement times, a simplified tendering process and a genuinely open and competitive marketplace.

Skyscape has expanded its services offerings under G-ii, and is now offering a total of 48 Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS), Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) and Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) products at differing Business Impact Levels. The new services in G-Cloud ii include:

Cisco WebEx as-a-Service at IL3 - hosted on Skyscape’s assured cloud platform this unique service offering will enable secure collaboration across the UK public sector;

MongoDB as-a-Service across the range of impact levels. MongoDB is an open source, scalable, high-performance, schema-free, document-oriented database written in the C++ programming language, and will be a free service for public sector consumers;

VMware Cloud Foundry across the range of impact levels. Cloud Foundry is a modern application platform built specifically to simplify the end-to-end development, deployment, and operation of cloud era applications.

Dawson went on to say “The G-Cloud ii Framework will enable a wider market than ever before, allowing buyers to access more innovative services and technologies, from a very wide range of suppliers”.
