Softcat to double its technical team to support business growth

IT reseller Softcat has plans to recruit around 40 people to bolster its team of technical staff over the next twelve months. The company is seeking experienced technical professionals to support its on-going growth and development following a phenomenally busy year in which turnover exceeded £300 million.

“Our managed and professional services have grown phenomenally over the past year – that growth is fuelling our latest recruitment drive,” said Sam Routledge, Softcat’s solutions director. “We’re looking for people who want to work with cutting-edge technologies to deliver business-critical customer solutions. Our consulting and support positions offer the chance to work with great technology and great teams.”

Softcat invests heavily in its employees, providing on-going training and development opportunities with a real focus on the requirements of the job and achieving industry-recognised certification. It also provides a truly unique workplace and offers outstanding benefits. Softcat was voted 10th in the UK’s Great Place to Work list in 2012, and achieved a top 50 ranking amongst European small and medium businesses.

“The cultural fit is really important to us, which is one of the reasons we do all of our recruiting in-house,” added Louise Chadbone, technical recruiter for Softcat. “People love working here because of the unique work culture; it’s really important that we hire the right personalities along with the right skills. We like fun, happy people who will work hard within their teams.”
