Solwise Rocks at Pop Festivals

Data links at this year’s Glastonbury Festival were music to the ears of organisers, thanks to a Midlands company who supply high quality data and ADSL lines among other telecoms services.

Solwise Telephony of Hinckley supplies a unique range of high quality broadband services across the UK, and these were used by festival organisers and the BBC to link the festival with the outside world. The company will be providing these services at rock and pop festivals all over the country this summer.

Solwise Telephony is one of the few companies in the UK able to provide high quality broadband at short notice and for short periods across the UK. With speeds up to 20Mb via a standard telephone line, and the facility to activate this for just a few days, the organisers of many major events now use Solwise’s services

Solwise Telephony has also spent the last six years developing a unique telephone system that uses these high quality data lines instead of standard BT lines. Call quality can be guaranteed, and the system brings both cash savings and improved productivity to businesses.

The company will also be providing broadband services and phone lines at the Reading Festival next month, the T in the Park festival in Scotland and the Latitude Festival in Suffolk later this month, the V Festivals at Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Chelmsford in August, and the Big Chill event at Eastnor Castle in Herefordshire, also in August.

Solwise managing director Martin Stephenson said the company’s range of products enabled it to provide a value-for-money package covering everything from the installation of telephone lines through to quality data links and the new Sipswitch IP telephone system. The company already supplies some 600 clients including the BBC, banks, and recruitment agencies. Other recent events the company has been involved in include last month’s Chelsea Flower Show.
