Running from 17 to 23 July, the Farnborough International Airshow 2006 is one of the biggest airshow events in the world. At the last show in 2004 exhibitor numbers totalled 1,360, with 133,000 trade visitors and 110,000 public visitors to the event. Expectations are that the show will exceed these figures in 2006.
Airline orders and defence contracts totalling (US) $20 billion were announced in 2004, demonstrating that Farnborough International Airshow is one of the leading international forums for aviation and aerospace commerce.
