Streamwire has appointed Kevin Timms as the new head of operations of the UK-based IT services aggregator. He is also the co-founder of the group.

Kevin Timms has joined the company after a 30-year career at the Ford Motor Company, which he joined in 1986 and rose to become IT Director. For five of those years he also held the role of IT Director at Jaguar Land Rover.

The appointment will enable the business to focus on its existing and potential clients in IT provisioning as well as help the business focus on the strategic integration of recently acquired UK technology specialists EvEnt Computer Services. EvEnt itself is a computer solutions company, which offers a comprehensive range of technical services for the Apple Macintosh and iPhone/iPad devices, a complementary service offering to that of Streamwire.

Anne Stokes, CEO, Streamwire stated: “Kevin is a very welcome addition to Streamwire’s senior management team. His wealth of experience in implementing and managing complex IT estates, and his innate understanding of IT outsourcing from the perspective of the user, will strengthen our expertise and undoubtedly further enhance our offering to customers. With a strong track record of delivering IT services within large enterprises I have no doubt that with Kevin on board, Streamwire can further strengthen its position as a leading IT services aggregator in the UK.”

Kevin Timms, commented: “This is an incredibly exciting time to be joining Streamwire. Not only has the company recently embarked on a programme of product and service enhancement, through its acquisition of EvEnt, it is undertaking an ambitious growth strategy designed with the clients in mind. Streamwire has built a strong reputation on the agile delivery of IT services. Its very size is what makes our delivery model so exciting, being responsive and nimble, able to deliver complex IT projects with speed and accuracy. Having worked on the client side for the majority of my career to date, I believe that I can bring an invaluable insight into the opportunities and challenges that outsourcing IT can bring.”
