Swains Plc to Relocate

Swains Plc will soon be switching from their current base, in Hunstanton, Norfolk, to a new Head Office within the nearby village of Dersingham. Work is underway to convert the former Surgery, in Saxon Way, into high-tech offices for this expanding Voice and Data firm to continue to grow and develop.

“We searched for property for over 18 months, as we wanted to retain our local links, but it was very difficult to find a suitable site”, said Charles Wilson, Managing Director. “When the former surgery came onto the market we realized the full potential. It has taken a lot of investment but our new offices will enable us to remain local but assist us delivering services to business across the UK.”

With a current turnover in excess of £7.5m per annum, the business is growing at around 12% per annum. Swains Plc employs 25 members of staff reflecting the on-going expansion of the business since it commenced operations in 1998 with just 2 members of staff.

Barry Ward, Business Development Manager, said “Our continued success has meant we have taken on 8 new staff last year, and we have outgrown our current site quicker than anticipated. The relocation will enable us to accommodate the increasing demand for our traditional voice services as well as develop our next generation solutions, including VoIP services and hosted phone solutions.”

Along with the purchase of their new property, Swains have also invested heavily in recent months with the development of a new bespoke software platform. This new resource will allow customers to report faults and place orders directly, saving time, money and maximising efficiency.

The move is scheduled to take place this summer and is an exciting time for everyone involved.
