TalkTalk goes for added value

TalkTalk Business, the dedicated B2B division of the TalkTalk Group, the UK’s third largest communications network operator, demonstrated its latest and greatest hosted product portfolio at Convergence Summit South.

Moving from pure connectivity to added value in the cloud, TalkTalk Business was at the show in force with the entire board of directors available at the TalkTalk stand to meet and greet the channel and explain the company’s new channel proposition as it aims to give resellers more margin, stickier customers, and more value.

Andy Hollingworth, director of partners at TalkTalk Business, commented: “Typically people have come to know TalkTalk as the largest connectivity player in our space, but new here at the show we are demonstrating to our partners how they can realise added value on top of our next generation connectivity, thanks to our latest hosted product portfolio.

“TalkTalk is moving up from the connectivity layer, into value-add, allowing our partners to make more margin, and provide stickier services,” he added.

Applications new for its next generation network are Hosted PBX, which is launching here at Convergence Summit South, Hosted Security, and Hosted Data Centre, while Hosted Call Recording and Hosted Contact Centre are incumbent products that have been refreshed for the new portfolio of five added value cloud services. These flexible solutions have been designed to give businesses of all sizes resilient features and functionality, fast implementation and automatic upgrades, with a low cost of ownership.

Hollingworth remarked on TalkTalk Business’ experience in cloud services: “We have had cloud services running pre-next generation network, so we have a lot of competency in the cloud-based arena.

“Our next generation network provides business-grade connectivity with SLA’s, however, consumers are still sometimes nervous about hosted services, particularly regarding the security of not having services running from the office,” admitted Hollingworth. “But TalkTalk has made hosted a viable business service, with revenue and margin growth for both TalkTalk and its resellers.”

On the event, Hollingworth commented: “This show is a fantastic opportunity to show our brand presence. We are the sponsor of the VIP area, and we have been welcoming people here, where we are able to catch up over a beer or glass of wine and have some really fruitful discussions. Many of our board directors are here on the stand, including our entire UK account management team. We have really over committed to this show, but we want to meet existing and new partners, and for anyone that wants to meet the board of TalkTalk Business, they’re here waiting for you.”
