Tempest partners with Strategic Imperatives to provide WLR3 to resellers

Billing, provisioning and software specialist Tempest is working in conjunction with third-party integrator Strategic Imperatives (SI) to offer WLR3 to its partners.

Using SI’s solution, partners are now linking their internal ordering systems to Openreach using WLR3, providing equality with BT Retail, and access to a much more efficient order gateway.

Tempest chose to partner with the software experts to produce an industry beating portal, allowing its resellers to interact with the Openreach Equivalence Management Platform (EMP).

Tempest Managing Director Rob Sims said: “In what is a tough market you’ve got to be able to differentiate on service to continue to compete. The new portal, developed using SI’s technology and Tempest’s own in-house software developers, allows us to do that.

“While WLR3 provides equality in terms of building, customers using SI’s technology potentially have more agile, responsive and comprehensive functionality than those available to BT retail.

“It is essential to be as efficient and productive as a business and the portal allows that to be maximised. We are providing tangible benefits to our partners, helping them grow their businesses.”

Wail Sabbagh, of Strategic Imperatives, said: “The combination of Tempest and Strategic Imperatives brings together significant customer, technical, channel and go-to-market synergies. Customers will benefit from a best of breed integrated solution that allows seamless adoption of WLR3.”

Traditionally a billing and software house, Tempest has recently added a wholesale communications suite to its product portfolio. WLR3 is a fundamental part of this communications offering

Partners of the company can choose one of two WLR3 solutions, by either utilising the system and software using Tempest’s unique identification, a “DUNS ID”, or by having their own, obtaining their own ID and using it as a standalone software solution.

The WLR3 portal sets new standards in terms of functionality and software design, replacing a cumbersome and limited interface, currently offered by the existing applications, with a streamlined implementation utilising an integrated interface for communicating with Openreach.
