ITSPA (Internet Telephony Service Providers’ Association) represents network operators, service providers and other businesses involved with the supply of VoIP services to business and residential customers within the UK and its annual awards recognise excellence in the UK VoIP and Unified Communications space. The VoIP for Business service, based on Nortel’s AS5200 SIP platform, was launched 2006 and was the first to provide a full blown Unified Communications feature set, typically only then available in high-end Enterprise PBXs. The service now includes PBX with SIP trunks and a typical installation will have a PBX at HQ with hosted seats serving outlying offices and home-workers.
